SAUCE: cook ground beef with crushed garlic, 1 chopped onion , salt n pepper; once cooked, add 1 can spiced diced tomatoes and 2 or 3 large cans tomatoe sauce. More salt n pepper a bit of basil and if u like heat , crushed chillies . IF U ARE A MEAT LOVER, cook some sausage in chunks with the beef too..
smear ricotta cheese on ALL your noodles; then it’s noodle, sauce, grated cheese . Continue this sequence 4 or 5 times depending how deep ur pan is. I make enough sauce for 2 lasagnas, one to eat and one to freeze. bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
When you want to eat the frozen one, bake covered 350 45-50 minutes (uncover in the last 15 minutes to melt cheese) should be bubbling on the sides. (DO NOT COOK PRIOR TO FREEZING!!)
** MAKE SURE SAUCE COVERS EVERY INCH OF THE NOODLES OR YOU MIGHT GET A CRUNCHY PART! **
