1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour (all purpose works too)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together butter, both sugars, and cream cheese. Add in egg and vanilla. In separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Once combined, fold in chocolate chips. Scoop rounded tablespoons onto a cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated oven (350) for about 10 minutes.
