2 large chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
Lasagna Noodles, cooked
8 oz package Italian Cheese Blend, pre-shredded
1 cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded
Alfredo Sauce:
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 tbsp flour
4 cups milk
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup grated Gruyere
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 tbsp Garlic powder
Salt/Pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large skillet, melt the butter and add in the flour. Cook over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes. Add the milk in and allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring with a whisk frequently. Add the cheese and cook for 2 minutes until well blended. Once sauce is thickened, add in nutmeg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Preheat oven to 350. In a 9×13 pan, place a spoonful of sauce on the bottom and spread around to lightly coat. Place a layer of cooked noodles on bottom of pan. Add 1/3 of sauce. Spread to coat. Add 1/3 chicken, followed by 1/3 of Italian Cheese blend. Repeat layers two more times ending with cheese on top. Cover pan with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and cook an additional 15 minutes. Serve!
