Shortbread Cookies


Shortbread Cookies

1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup of butter (not margarine)

Cream together all ingredients. Roll dough into balls and press down with a fork to slightly flatten. Decorate with glazed cherry pieces, candy sprinkles, or nuts as desired (if you place a red cherry with pieces of green candied cherry it looks really pretty!)

Bake in a 300 degree oven for 15-20 min, until edges are very slightly brown. Cookies should be creamy white.
